    Time Event
    9:13a
    Bloop....bloop...
Engaged in emergency beer surgery last night:
Realized that the last step after pitching the yeast into the wort hadn't been done. Yes, I forgot to actually STIR the damn thing up. Re-sterilized my big spoon and broke one of the cardinal rules by opening up the fermenter. I thoroughly stirred up the yeast+wort, and in a couple of hours (while I was working out in the Danger Room), the fermentation lock began to bubble. This morning, it is going great guns.
So hopefully this will work out. Unfortunately the fermenter has also developed a slow leak near the tap. Assuming I get to bottle on Sunday, this shouldn't be a problem (if I keep putting down paper towels). So its like I said Rob, SOMETHING always goes wrong. Just be glad beer-making is fault tolerant.
