    Time Event
    10:25a
    Whirling...whirling...
Friday night I saw 'Team America: World Police'.

Saturday, was DND, for most of the day. I rose early so that I could get in my traditional Saturday workout, and still set up my campaign of doom. It was an okay session. Better than the last loser that I cooked up, mostly because it was back on the central plotline. However, I also had to kill my first character.

Now I've killed people off before, mainly because the player was leaving more or less permanently, and I could get it to support the plotline. This however, marks the first time I had to kill someone because they pulled a stupid. I'm not quite sure how to deal with this headwise. At some point, you have to emphasize the fact that it isn't just all run up and hack the monster. Sometimes the monster eats you. If it isn't real enough, then it doesn't work. But it did kinda suck to have to do that.

Sunday, was well...Sunday. I turned in around 2 hours worth of work setting up the computer to run to have stuff ready for me today. Which it was. I also stopped by the Brewer's Coop and got the remainder of the ingredients I needed for the wheat beer, including hallertaur hops (straight from Germany), and a special strain of yeast used in making weissbier. That's the good part, I brewed, and everything seemed okay. This time, I used a cold water bath to cool the wort before putting it in the fermenter, thus decreasing the amount of time standing around waiting for it to cool. However, I have no evidence that any fermentation is actually taking place. It is just sitting there. No bubbling. I HOPE it is simply getting a slow start, the temperature swings in my apartment may be retarding it slightly. If something is truly wrong then I'm gonna be piz-nissed, considering that's about $50 worth of ingredients down the drain.
